Mini Service Scheduling
Generally, the basic factory scheduled maintenance for Mini and other vehicles include regular services common to extend the life of your vehicle so that you can outlast the terrible road conditions we experience here in Calgary and Southern Alberta. Everyone knows this is also very important here in Calgary due to our harsh climate. These may include tire rotations, oil and Filter Change, and Safety Inspection. Our skilled technicians conduct visual inspections of belts and hoses. They check for unexpected fluid leaks that could damage other parts of your car. They also listen for odd noises that may interrupt the safe operation of your vehicle.
Mini Basic Oil Service: This service is the most frequent and least costly service. The Service Interval System will let you know when it is time to change your oil, but a typical interval on a modern BMW will be 8,000 - 10,000 km.
Mini Oil & Safety Service: This service includes an Oil Change (with filter) and a safety check of your vehicle that includes crucial items including: brakes, indicator lights, rubber belts and hoses, engine coolant, steering linkage, and suspension components. Additionally, your technician will check for fluid leaks and check the dashboard warning lights.
Mini Intermediate: ($150 for inspection; plus any additional for parts + labor)
The MiniIntermediate Maintenance, also known as the Minor Service, is the smaller service recommended by Mini. It is recommended at 25,000km, 70,000km, & 120,000km
Mini Major: ($175 for inspection; plus any additional for parts + labor)
The Mini Major Maintenance, also known as the Major Service, is the larger service recommended by Mini. It is recommended at 50,000km, 100,000km, & 200,000km
Condition Based Service (CBS)
Condition Based Service (CBS) - Perfect service is always provided at exactly the right moment – thanks to Condition Based Service, which is a standard feature in the MINI. With all important information on display in the rev counter (or, if the optional navigation system is fitted, on the display in the speedo), you're kept bang up to date at all times about the current servicing status of your MINI. Sensors and special algorithms monitor engine oil, brake fluid and wear-and-tear parts, such as brake pads. Servicing work is then guaranteed to be carried out at exactly the right time – and only when absolutely necessary, rather than at fixed intervals. Brake pad wear indicator A MINI will let you know in good time when its Brake Pads need changing. CBS evaluates the data from two sensors on the left of the front axle and the right of the rear axle. Brake pad replacement is something you definitely shouldn't put off!
Inspection This display informs you when your MINI has to go in for an inspection. Calculations are adjusted every 50 kilometres, with the time between inspections varying according to how often you drive, how far you drive and in what sort of conditions you drive your MINI.
Engine Oil The display in the rev counter of your MINI tells you exactly how much time is left or how far you can still drive before the next Oil Change is due (intervals vary according to your driving style and how frequently you're on the road).
Brake Fluid Although you might never want to stop driving your MINI once you're behind the wheel, you still need to have the brake fluid changed approximately every two years. If you are a heavy "city driver" here around Downtown Calgary, then you may want to have it changed more often that that. Your MINI will remind you automatically of the exact date (which varies according to the actual condition of the brake fluid).
Oil Used In Mini Servicing
We only use synthetic oil in all Minis. You have a choice of which synthetic oil you want to use, as we carry Mobile 1, Liqui Moly, Castrol Advantage, and more! If you request an oil blend when booking your oil service then we will use that. If no request is made then we will use our choice of synthetic blend.
